Use Chippo to help organize a drawing brief around the active model and your project requirements. This workflow prepares information for drafting and review; template-based batch drawing generation remains on the roadmap.
Gather the inputs
Open the intended model and configuration. Have the applicable drawing standard, approved template, units, scale requirements and manufacturing notes available. State which facts come from the model and which requirements come from you.
Build a drawing brief
Try a request like this:
Inspect the active part without changing or saving it. Summarize the model information the tools can read that is relevant to a drawing. Help me prepare a checklist for views, dimensions, material and revision notes. Mark missing facts and assumptions clearly. Use millimetres; do not invent tolerances or a material grade.
Review each item against the model and its authoritative specification. If a property is unavailable, supply a verified source or leave it unresolved.
Add project requirements
Provide the requirements you want applied:
Use our approved template and drawing standard as the references. List the required views and the dimensions I need to verify. Keep suggested dimensions separate from confirmed model values. Do not create or export drawing files yet.
Do not assume that a template, file or reference has been read merely because you named it. Check the tool results and supply the relevant content when it is not available to the task.
Draft and review
Create the drawing through the supported workflow in your installed SolidWorks environment. Review views, dimensions, tolerances, material, scale, title block and revision information before release. Model inspection and a written checklist do not validate a production drawing.
This guide does not promise automatic batch output, standards certification or complete dimension coverage.
Next steps
- Keep shared requirements in design knowledge and rules.
- Read current limitations before relying on captured model information.
- Use change a model parameter if a model correction is needed first.
