THE CHIPPO GUIDE

Current limitations

Set accurate expectations for execution, safety, knowledge and engineering validation.

Local installation and versions

Chippo requires local SolidWorks, its add-in and an available model service. This website is not an online CAD application. Features can vary by installed version; rely on the runtime interface and actual tool responses.

Arbitrary code and isolation

Arbitrary C# can access COM, the file system and other .NET capabilities. Document binding and dangerous-pattern detection can reduce mistakes but do not form a complete sandbox or enforce specification-directory isolation. Shell and file tools may also have broad permissions.

Model output

Models can misunderstand requirements, produce incorrect code or miss constraints. Natural-language intent does not prove a script's actual impact. Verify execution through tool results.

Cancellation

A running SolidWorks API cannot be guaranteed to stop. After disconnection, cancellation or timeout, manual inspection may be needed to establish the model's actual state.

Engineering and physics

A successful rebuild does not establish physical correctness, manufacturability or standards compliance. Strength, fatigue, motion interference and safety still need professional validation. Physical AI is a product direction; this website does not claim autonomous physical simulation or automatic certification.

Knowledge learning

Project rules are not proven universal laws. Change evidence and candidate review accumulate knowledge rather than train a model. Sources, applicability and conflicts still need review.

Capture has time and quantity budgets and cannot guarantee the full feature tree, every dimension or all assembly references. Comparable evidence is collected only for saved active documents inside the selected project. Unsaved documents can still be used by CAD tools but do not yet produce this change evidence. Delayed background writes report a pending state; a later task may be needed to process that evidence.
